What is Fitness to you?

"That exercise is wrong." "That specific approach is crap, let me show you a better way." “That gym does weird stuff."
"machines are the best." "Kettlebells are dangerous.” Have you heard any of these phrases before? The chances are that you have and you possibly may even believe that some of the statements above are 100% correct. Statements such as these are (believe it or not) a big part of some of the problems in this fitness industry. As well as showing a lack of understanding of the vital principle of individual differences.

You see fitness can and should be an individual thing. Except for the health benefits of exercise and the need for safety as you exercise, the rest can be up to the person to fit them as a unique person that has different needs, desires and may enjoy training for divergent goals in what may contrast your own and you know what- that is ok. You see if fitness is only torture to most people than they will not stick to their exercise program and not get all of the health benefits associated with better fitness.



Some want to be lean, some fast, others strong and so-on. Let us as humans accept that and that there are various ways to do so and encourage those that are working hard to get to those goals.
