Football Performance and Kettlebell Training

Why are kettlebells so special? Aren't they just another tool to train with to avoid boredom? Aren't they bad for your back/ dangerous for you? These are questions that we get asked almost daily when it comes to our system and training philosophy and when people find out that we incoperate kettlebell training into our program. We pretty much have our standard replies, that may even be somewhat robotic at this point.

Kettlebells are obviously another tool, but that doesn't mean that they are not special and that they don't produce a specific adaptation that no other tool can produce. In fact, due to the shape , the nature of this tool and how it can be used, they do produce results that are different from any other tool that one can use.

Now, don't get us wrong, it is not that the other tools aren't useful for the proper goal and used intelligently. It is just for training for athletic development and in a movement based program, kettlebells produce tremendous results. This particular tool can be used to produce: strength, power, mobility, stability and condtioning when used in a specific goal to do so.
