Eat More Protein

Not too long ago Geico did a commercial about how if you bundle your insurances with them for things like: home, auto and boat, etc. you get more savings. As two gym goers discuss this very topic and how the one saved more, he continued to develop his muscles; it was very humorous. But the reason I bring this up is, one of the times that he called him, he addressed him as "bro-tein shake." Which is something we can all use in our lives, not brotein, but protein.

You see, we are made up of proteins and if you exercise, you need protein to help you recover from your workouts. Now this doesn't mean that you can eat super excessive amounts of proteins, because they are calories, but just that everyone should monitor how they are eating and get to a level that is optimal and that they can sustain.

If you are like me and need a number or some kind of standard to get started, an easy number is to eat a gram of protein per pound of bodyweight. So if you weigh 100 lbs. , then you will eat 100 grams a day divided up in your meals throughout the day.

The kinds of protein of protein are as important as simply eating enough of it. However. animal proteins will give you more of the 8 essential amino-acids that your body doesn't make by itself and other useful nutrients that can aid in your achieving your fitness related goals.

Also as a bonus, protein will help you feel full longer and aid you in not overeating. Of course this will help you lose fat , by eating the amount of calories needed to lose fat with reduced misery as you do.
